KAFCON 2026 — Team Uganda’s Matchday

USKA successfully coordinated Uganda’s participation in KAFCON 2026, the Korea Africa Cup of Nations, held on Sunday 24 May 2026 in Pyeongtaek City — a tournament bringing together 16 African nations across four groups in a celebration of unity, culture, and sportsmanship.
Uganda competed in Group D alongside South Africa, Liberia, and Tanzania. Defensively the team remained unbeaten in open play throughout the group stage, conceding only one goal — from a penalty — across all three matches.
Group D results
Uganda 0 – 0 Liberia
Uganda 1 – 1 Tanzania — goal by Henry Ssenfuka
Uganda 0 – 0 South Africa
Uganda finished 3rd in Group D with three draws; Cameroon were the overall KAFCON 2026 champions.
The Directorate of Sport & Entertainment thanks all Team Uganda players and technical staff, the Executive Committee, the Songtan Ugandan community who hosted players, and every supporter who turned up in Pyeongtaek and online. As Uganda prepares to co-host AFCON 2027 under the “Pamoja” banner, KAFCON 2026 reflects the growing commitment of Ugandans in South Korea to sports diplomacy and community building. For God and My Country.
