Guide: Emergency travel document for a child born outside Uganda

For a child’s emergency travel document, begin early and confirm the current instructions with the Uganda Embassy before collecting documents.

This is a locally maintained reference checklist adapted from long-standing community guidance, not a substitute for instructions from the Uganda Embassy or an authorised consular channel. Fees, forms, and submission methods can change.

Prepare before you contact the Embassy

• Two recent passport-sized coloured photos (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm).
• Completed Form G.
• Korea-issued residence IDs for the applying parent or parents.
• The child’s birth certificate showing both parents, with an English translation if it is in another language.
• Colour copies of both parents’ passports, including the bio-data and relevant visa pages for Ugandan passports.
• Colour copies of both parents’ Korea-issued residence IDs.
• A return envelope and registered postage where postal submission is currently allowed.

Before you submit

The Embassy may ask for extra evidence depending on the child’s circumstances. Confirm the current appointment, consent, translation, and collection requirements first.
