Guide: New East African Passport applications

Use this checklist to organise a new East African passport application from South Korea before confirming the current process with the Uganda Embassy.
This is a locally maintained reference checklist adapted from long-standing community guidance, not a substitute for instructions from the Uganda Embassy or an authorised consular channel. Fees, forms, and submission methods can change.
Prepare before you contact the Embassy
- Four recent coloured passport photos (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm), white background; no glasses, scarves, or hats; both ears visible.
- Colour copy of the old passport, including the visa and bio-data page and page 45 where applicable.
- Colour copy of a valid Korea-issued residence ID.
- Completed Form G and the passport application form currently required by the Embassy.
- If someone will collect for you: copies of that representative’s National ID as requested by the Embassy.
- An Embassy recommendation letter, return envelope, and registered postage only where the current process requires them.
Before you submit
Confirm the appointment, fee, whether an Embassy recommendation letter is needed, and whether the application may be submitted in person or by post before you prepare a final package.
