🎉⚽ KAFCON 2026 opponents ballot day! The official ballot to decide who faces who at the Korea Africa Cup of Nations was held at Afro Fever Lounge — get ready for the matchups, rivalries and drama that shaped this year’s tournament.

Venue: Afro Fever Lounge. Address: 경기도 평택시 쇼핑로9번길 9. Time: 16:00 (4:00 PM). USKA / Team Uganda was represented by Tatwangire Graham (Director of Sport & Entertainment and Head Coach of The Uganda Cranes South Korea).

Result for Uganda: Team Uganda was drawn in Group D with Liberia, South Africa and Tanzania. Full groups from the draw sheet — A: DR Congo, Zimbabwe, Guinea, Senegal. B: Cameroon, Ghana, Gambia, Mali. C: Nigeria, Ethiopia, Burundi, Kenya. D: Uganda, Liberia, South Africa, Tanzania.

Tournament format (master match schedules shared for KAFCON 2026): 16 teams · 4 groups of 4 · each team plays 3 group matches (6 matches per group). Organisers outlined two structure options — Schedule A (top 2 from each group advance → quarterfinals → semis → 3rd place & final; 32 matches total; 20 minutes straight play) and Schedule B (group winners only advance → semis / 3rd place / final; 28 matches; 30 minutes straight play). Matchday itself later ran as a full group stage in Pyeongtaek on 24 May.

What came next: friendlies (including Team Uganda vs Les Leopards DR Congo on 9 May) and KAFCON matchday on 24 May in Pyeongtaek. Uganda finished Group D with three draws and third place; full squad and results are in the Matchday Report under Documents.
