Table of major multicultural and international festivals in Korea in 2026 — names, expected dates and attendance

USKA keeps track of large public festivals across Korea where Ugandan culture, African diaspora communities, or multicultural programmes often appear. This list is for community awareness only.

Important: USKA may or may not participate in any given festival. Inclusion here does not mean we are confirmed performers, stall holders or official partners. Dates and attendance figures are approximate expectations for 2026 and can change — always check the organiser’s latest notice before travelling.

Festivals (2026) — overview

1. Itaewon Global Village Festival — Mid-October; expected attendance about 1,000,000 people.

2. Cheonan World Dance Festival — Late September – Early October; expected attendance about 800,000 – 1,200,000 people.

3. Ansan Street Arts Festival — Early May (Children's Day weekend); expected attendance about 700,000 – 770,000 people.

4. MAMF (Migrants' Arirang) — Mid-to-late October; expected attendance about 250,000 – 300,000 people.

5. Seoul Friendship Festival — Late May; expected attendance about 270,000 people.

6. Seoul Africa Festival — Mid-September; expected attendance about 50,000 people.

7. Seongbuk Global Food & Culture Festival — Mid-May; expected attendance about 40,000 – 50,000 people.

8. Busan Global Gathering — Late May; expected attendance about 30,000 – 50,000 people.

9. Pyeongtaek International Festival — May and October (two events); expected attendance about 30,000 – 50,000 people.

10. Gwangju International Community Day — October; expected attendance about 2,000 – 5,000 people.

Why this matters: big city festivals (Itaewon, Ansan, Cheonan, MAMF, Seoul Africa Festival and others) are where many residents meet international culture, food and performance. When USKA does take part — for example representing Uganda at cultural stages or community booths — we will announce that separately on Events and News with venue, time and how members can join.
