National ID issuance survey: help bring NIRA services to Korea
On 4 August 2026 the USKA Executive Committee asked every Ugandan living in South Korea to fill a short survey. The association is working to bring officials from Uganda’s National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) to Korea so members can obtain or update a National ID (NIN) without flying home.
A visit like that only happens if NIRA can see where the demand is. The form takes about two minutes. It is not a booking, and it is not a promise of a date. It is how the Executive Committee shows the scale of the community and plans which cities a team should stop in.
Why this matters
- A National ID is the document many Ugandans need for banking, passports, and other civil processes at home
- Travelling to Uganda only to sit a NIRA queue is expensive and, for people on short leave, often impossible
- A Korea visit only works if NIRA can see numbers and cities — not a handful of names in a chat
Director of Finance Mark Mpabulungi posted the survey on behalf of the leadership. General Secretary Josephine Nakitende asked members to pass it to every Ugandan they know here, not only people already on the association’s subscription list.
How to take part
Use the official form only. Do not send National ID numbers, copies of IDs, or other personal documents to the WhatsApp group or to this website.
